VOCAB
THERE WILL BE A TEST

The Pariah Pro Crew will often employ a number of words and phrases perhaps unknown to
the general audience to whom they are speaking. This list, by no means exhaustive, is meant
to assist the audience in understanding

Rectactular
Attention spans are short these days. The minds of young people are moving too quickly to wait for
someone to say “That was a spectacular session of recreation.” So we created a hybrid of the words
“Spectacular” and “Recreation”, joined became Rectacular.

My Mom Said I Can't Get Wet
This is a phrase normally uttered in jest by Pariah MCs. It is used to deter whining by inducing a sense
of shame on those who might be tempted to present any sort of excuse that would prevent them from
participating in Rec.
Mira Chicos. We can’t stress this enough, if your mom said that you can’t get wet you probably should
have stayed home. There you would stay un-damped, sitting on mothers plastic wrapped couch, hands
on knees in your pleated khakis and collared shirt as far away from anything rectacular as possible.

Jugar para Ganar
Yes, yes, it’s not all about winning. The game is played to have fun. Well sure but is it not much more
fun when you WIN. That is why after all there are points, it is a competition. Please if you are going to
play, then “Jugar para Ganar” which is Spanish for “Play to Ganar”. Remember to roll your “r’s”.

Heart of the Team
The Heart of the Team is like the heart of your body. It is the vital organ that pumps vitality throughout
all the members, without which the members would be lifeless. No lifeless team ever got their name
emblazoned on the GGCC. Therefore if you are going to jugar para ganar, then your team needs a
heart, that one team member who will inspire the whole team and lead them to victory.

Recreation Pants
Just like any good boy scout or Luchador, you should always be prepared, especially when you step up
to the Rec Deck. This is no place for high-heels or dress slacks. Get your recreation pants on and get
out to the field of victory.

Safety Third
When it comes to the important points of Rec here is the short list in short order: Fun First and Safety
Third. Don’t worry safety made the list, but it most likely there for insurance purposes.

Something really bad happened
Sometimes in life bad things happen. Often times these bad things need no explanation other times the
explanation should not be given in detail except to say: “Something really bad happened, and I’m
moving to Illinois”. Illinois of course being the place to escape really bad things.

For insurance purposes
Countless times brilliant Rec ideas have been scrapped from the drawing board due to some insurance
companies lack of cooperation, lack of vision, lack of ganas*. It just hurts, to know that because we live
in a law suit happy state that insurance companies have to put the brakes on so much that could be so
fun. So in typical Pariah Pro fashion we will seek comfort in our ability to mock this condition by claiming
that any and every safety element in Rec conceivable was included for, “Insurance purpose” only.

(* Ganas, is a Spanish word meaning: “motivation sufficient to act”.)

Counselors are standing by
We completely understand that you might not be ready to handle the amount of fun that you are about
to experience at this Pariah Production. We know it can be overwhelming. We have seen it time and
again, dumbfounded children, eyes glazed and mouths gaping, wandering aimlessly, unable to
comprehend let alone express what just happened. That is why we make sure that “Counselors are
standing by” to talk with you after a time of unbelievable recreation.

Rec Deck
Welcome to the Rec Deck ladies and gentlemen. This is the launch pad for all recreation events. One
must not approach the Rec Deck ill prepared or grave consequences will follow.

The Bus Driver (takin' kids to school)
An adaptation using the common phrase “I’m taking’ you to school”, which generally indicates that one
will be significantly out-playing another in a given competition effectively becoming their teacher. The
Bus Driver has the unique ability to take many kids to school at once.

Legiticus
Used to describe something as Legit, however with more syllables and a biblical reference something
attributed as Legiticus is clearly of greater importance than something merely legit.
